“Photoprotection is not just about SPF. Protecting the skin over time means addressing the full spectrum of exposomal stressors at the very heart of the cell.”
Dermatologist and expert in photoageing, Professor Thierry Passeron founded SUNLUTION with a singular ambition: to rethink how skin is protected from light over time.
After decades of clinical practice and research into the biological mechanisms of skin ageing, he recognised that daily light exposure, far beyond UV alone, plays a central role in accelerating cellular stress and skin deterioration.
SUNLUTION was created to translate this dermatological insight into advanced skincare systems designed to defend skin at its biological core, helping support resilience, renewal and long-term skin health.
years dedicated to dermatological research and clinical practice
international scientific publications on skin issues, ageing and pigmentation
international patents in dermatology and photoprotection
Scientific Publications
SUNLUTION is built on decades of dermatological expertise and clinical investigation into the biological effects of light exposure on skin.

A lifetime's work
A story from the South of France
Growing up in sunny south of France, Professor Thierry Passeron developed an early awareness of the relationship between light and skin.
Through decades of research and international collaboration, he has studied how environmental exposure shapes skin health across different populations.
SUNLUTION was born from this work: translating dermatological research into a new approach to skincare designed to protect skin while allowing people to live freely in the light.
